Donzoko: Japanese tradition to the Spanish

Hello chic @ s!

a couple of weekends ago, Kakashi sensei and I decided to spend the day in Madrid, visiting a couple of shops and celebrating geeks (very late) our anniversary at a Japanese restaurant called Donzoko, which come to you today talk.

The Donzoko is situated at Echegaray (C / Echegaray 3, 28014, Madrid, 914 295 720), very close to the Puerta del Sol .. the truth is that right next to this is another Japanese, and it looks complicated.

The truth is that the external appearance seems most austere and conventional, a single source and typical zen Japanese sliding door, but once you cross the little stone paths look like you 're transported to a real restaurant in Japan.

The truth is that it helps a lot of decoration, which is completely identical to which you find in a restaurant there by the fact that at any time you see the kitchen and the waiters are all of Japanese origin.

As for the menu, there is variety, though perhaps not as much as in other restaurants, but you can see the letter written in Japanese kanji and their corresponding in Castilian, without prejudice to say that the sticks are the basic tool for food.

As for the quality of the food, I have to say it is high, at least to me it seemed, and value for money "deal was great. We went to 18 € per head and the truth is that we ate as could be.

Among the entire letter, we opted for an incoming Japanese dumplings came in a kind of broth and sen were filled with a most delicious pate. For the main course, both opted for a combination: the great known as "Bento" Japanese, so we asked "Ume Bento" which consisted of sticky rice with sesame sashimi with radishes, carrots and mushrooms with Japanese omelette, pork tenderloin Japanese sauce and noodles, along with pickles y. .. miso soup! as you can see, very complete. Asked to complete half a dessert (we were that we could not) it was green tea ice cream more delicious than I tried in my life ... reamente was green tea.

The truth, I have to say is that this place was full of Westerners but also Japanese, so I say, that something is right? because I thought it was high quality. In conclusion, it is my five-star ....

Bites! ^ ^
